Installation overview
- The duct surface must be clean, dry and free of rust, oil and leaks; leak-test before wrapping
- Cut to size, then strip 50 mm of wool from the edge so the facing forms a flap to overlap the joint
- Wrap with joints butted tight and seal every joint with aluminium foil tape at least 2.5 in wide
- On ducts wider than 24 in, fix the insulation on the underside with fasteners at no more than 18 in centres
- Inspect the facing and tape over any puncture or tear
