What is it?
ProRox SL is a stone wool slab range for industrial thermal insulation on flat surfaces such as equipment walls, boilers, columns and tanks. Grades: SL 930 SA (60 kg/m³, up to 450 °C), SL 950 SA (80), SL 960 SA (100), SL 970 SA (128) and SL 540 SA (160), rated up to 650 °C, and SL 978 SA (110 kg/m³), rated up to 850 °C, according to ROCKWOOL Thailand data sheets.
What is it made of?
Stone wool (rock wool) · Facing: Unfaced (SL 930 SA: one-side aluminium foil or glass tissue facing on request) · Slab
Values here are material properties from the manufacturer's documents. The thickness you need depends on the surface temperature, the target outer-surface temperature and the cladding — have it calculated by the designer.
