What is it?

Safe 'n' Silent Pro is a stone-wool slab for sound insulation in all kinds of wall systems — drywall partitions and walls in hospitals, cinemas, schools, offices, homes and industrial buildings. It comes in four density grades: Pro 330 for interior walls of offices and general buildings, Pro 350 for all lightweight walls, and Pro 370 / Pro 380 for lightweight walls where acoustic performance matters most.

Limitations to know

The slab on its own has no sound insulation rating (STC/Rw) — ratings belong to the whole wall and depend on the boards, framing and sealing.

Installation overview

  1. Install the framing and the first face of boards to the chosen wall system
  2. Fill the cavity completely with slabs, with no gaps between them
  3. Fix the second face and seal joints, edges and socket/switch openings
